Challenge

The Client aimed to develop a proof-of-concept for an employee-focused iPhone application to present to prospective investors. The app was designed to help employees navigate stress and fatigue, blending practical functionality with a warm and engaging design aesthetic.

Starting with a bullet-point list of twelve high-level concepts, the project required incorporating the consumerization of enterprise technology, ensuring the app felt approachable, modern, and user-centric.

Solution

Garofalo UX worked closely with the Client to transform high-level ideas into a fully realized, interactive proof-of-concept:.

  • Persona-Centered Workflows: Developed detailed workflows tailored to specific employee personas, ensuring each user could efficiently navigate the app’s features.
  • Branding and Visual Assets: Designed initial drafts of branding concepts and created graphical assets that supported the app’s "warm & fuzzy" design style.
  • High-Fidelity Prototyping: Produced over 120 high-fidelity screens that showcased key functionality and interactions, allowing investors to experience the app as if it were fully developed

Deliverables

  • Ideation & Brainstorming: Conducted collaborative sessions to refine the app’s core features and align them with user needs.
  • User Experience (UX) Strategy: Established a roadmap for creating a user-friendly, engaging, and functional app experience.
  • UX Design & Product Design: Delivered visually compelling and intuitive designs that resonated with the app’s mission.
  • Workflow Diagramming and User Flows: Mapped out efficient, persona-driven workflows to guide the app’s development.
  • Wireframing and Interaction Design: Developed detailed wireframes and interaction models to ensure clarity and usability.
  • Information Architecture: Organized the app’s structure to streamline navigation and enhance user satisfaction.
  • Scrum User Stories: Wrote comprehensive Scrum User Stories, acting in the “Product Owner” role to provide business analysis and specification documentation for potential development.
